Garner Inherits Larger Idaho Spread
• Iliad Media Group of Boise, Idaho announced the promotion of James Garner to Regional Operations Manager. Garner (not to be confused with the late star of TV’s The Rockford Files) is an 11-year company vet and is the Treasure Valley location’s longest-tenured employee. In his newly enhanced position, Garner (left) will now oversee the programming, production and promotions for 13 stations in the Boise and Twin Falls, ID markets. We are told that for now, at least, Garner will continue to handle day-to-day programming of KSRV (96.1 Bob FM), KZMG (My 102.7) and KQBL-HD3 (96.5 The Alternative)/Boise.
Darrell Calton, CEO of Impact Radio Group, said, “I couldn’t be more pleased to announce this well-deserved promotion. James has been instrumental in the success of several of our brands in the Boise market and I’m excited at what the future holds for all our brands under his direct supervision. James has a passion for radio and excellence and lives the values of Impact Radio in regard to providing the best in radio broadcasting to our listeners and the highest quality customer service to our advertising partners, while being responsible members of the local community and stewards for good.”
