Gary Nolan Headed Home
• For Gary Nolan, family comes first, and for that reason he has tendered his resignation as PD/midday personality at Cumulus Hot AC KQHN (Q97.3)/Shreveport, LA and is packing the car for a return to Kansas City to be reunited with his family. He had been on the job in Louisiana since January of this year. Nolan commented, “I guess you can call it semi-retirement… I hope to work part-time for a KC station; however, if something fulltime came up in KC that was a good fit, I certainly would take a look at it.” Nolan has previous Kansas City experience, as the former PD of Cumulus Classic Hits KCMO and News/Talk KCMO-AM.
Over the course of a four-decade radio career, Nolan has also programmed some of the biggest adult-targeted radio station in the country, including WLTW/New York, WLTE/Minneapolis, KRWM/Seattle and KOSI/Denver, to name a few. In his capacity as an Operations Manager, Nolan has overseen the Cumulus cluster in Pensacola, FL as well as Clear Channel’s stations in Panama City, FL and Binghamton, NY.
Nolan remarked, “It’s been quite the ride over the past 45 years… I’ve been blessed to be part of an industry that I love, and it’s all I ever wanted to do.” Looking ahead, Nolan can be contacted at garyn72000@yahoo.com.
