Ginny Brophey Formally Aboard At WOKQ
• We initially reported this news last month, but, hey, the press release just arrived, thus, rendering it legally binding — Townsquare Media Portsmouth, NH announced that well-known Country programmer Ginny Brophey has joined the Company as Brand Manager of Country 97.5 WOKQ.
Brophey previously programmed iHeartMedia Country WBWL (101.7 The Bull)/Boston until Jan. 2020, when she exited during widespread corporate downsizing. Prior to joining The Bull in May 2018, Brophey spent 25 years across the street as APD/MD at Beasley rival WKLB, rising to PD in 2018 and working in tandem with her husband, former WKLB PD Mike Brophey.
