Glenday Upped To CEO At Acast

Acast, provider of hosting, monetization and growth support for podcasts, and podcast advertising solutions for brands and media agencies has elevated Greg Glenday from Chief Business Officer, to Chief Executive Officer. Glenday will succeed Ross Adams, who recently tendered his resignation after eight years, but will remain connected in a strategic advisory role.

Glenday has been part of Acast’s management team since 2023, following over a decade in global C-level roles, including CEO of Lightbox, Chief Revenue Officer of Shazam and, earlier in his career, a four-year stint with Clear Channel/iHeartMedia as President of the Connections Team.

“The Board is confident that Greg Glenday is the right leader for Acast as we enter our next phase of growth,” said John Harrobin, Chairman of the Board of Acast. “Greg brings results-oriented leadership experience, a profound industry understanding, and a proven ability to scale operations globally. Greg’s leadership has been vital in Acast’s transformation of U.S. operations which has enabled the company to accelerate performance and strategic expansion in the U.S., ultimately achieving positive EBITDA for the first time in its ten-year history.”

Glenday remarked, “I’m honored and energized to step into the role of CEO of Acast and further its track record of being at the forefront of podcasting innovation. I look forward to working with our immensely talented team of Acasters, our creators, and our advertising partners to unlock podcasting’s full potential and shape the future of the industry.”
