Goodman Joins KOA’s Rockies’ Broadcast Team

Goodman made his debut on Saturday, April 4, and will be on the call for all home and away games this season alongside longtime “Voice of the Colorado Rockies” Jack Corrigan and Executive Producer Jesse Thomas. KOA has served as the flagship radio home of the Colorado Rockies since the team’s inaugural season in 1993.
Goodman spent the past two seasons as the radio voice of the Arizona Diamondbacks’ AA affiliate, the Amarillo Sod Poodles in Texas. Prior to that, he called basketball and volleyball during his college years at Webster University in St. Louis, where he also excelled on the baseball field as the Gorlok’s starting catcher for numerous seasons.
“I was immediately impressed by Zach’s natural, versatile talent first hearing him nearly two years ago,” said Dave Tepper, PD of KOA and Rockies Radio. “Rockies fans will appreciate his passionate, descriptive style, fueled by years of playing college baseball, alongside one of the great voices of the game, Jack Corrigan.”
A Colorado native, Goodman grew up in Greenwood Village just south of Denver and is a life-long Colorado Rockies fan. He’s also the son of longtime Rockies TV voice Drew Goodman. “Rockies baseball is in my blood,” said the younger Goodman. “I’m excited to be a part of KOA, the station that’s been connecting this team with fans for generations. I can’t wait to experience every pitch with Rockies fans!”
