Hall Of Fame Career For Jona Denz-Hamilton

• Sending our most sincere best wishes to Jona Denz-Hamilton, celebrating her remarkable 53rd year in radio, and who was recently inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame!Denz-Hamilton started her Bay Area radio career as Station Manager of 89.7 KFJC while attending Foothill College in Los Altos back in the day, which lead to a stint at the late, legendary rocker KOME/San Jose during nine of its golden years. She later spent six years programming KLRB-FM/Carmel/Monterey and KROY/Sacramento, before returning to the South Bay to do afternoons on another heritage station, KLOK/San Jose, followed by stints at Country KEEN and Metro Traffic, leading to a marathon 26-year run AC-turned-Classic Hits KBAY/San Jose.

We are pleased to report that Jona hasn’t missed a beat since the ’70s, and since 2022 continues to anchor middays on Momentum Broadcasting Classic Rock 99.7 KIOO/Visalia. Send your congrats to ajdenzhamilton1982@gmail.com.

> The Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame is presented by the California Historical Radio Society, a nonprofit that keeps the spirit of Bay Area radio alive with a museum and events.
