Haskell Hangs Up His Cans

• It’s official — veteran Country programmer and air talent Eddie Haskell is calling it a career, announcing his retirement from middays at Cumulus Country 92.3 KRST/Albuquerque, NM.

Haskell famously served as OM of the Albuquerque cluster under former owner Citadel, and PD/afternoon talent for KRST from 2004-2013. He returned to KRST as midday personality in Sept. 2022 after a stint as VP of Operations & Programming for Max Media of Hampton Roads, VA and Brand Manager/afternoon jock for Country WGH-FM (97.3 The Eagle)/Norfolk. Haskell’s earlier programming stops include KYGO/Denver, KKAT/Salt Lake City, KDJM/Denver, WYCD/Detroit and WXLK/Roanoke, VA.

Now comfortably retired, Haskell tells RAMP that he will be staying in Albuquerque — “This is home now,” he says, and can be contacted at haskell99@gmail.com.

KRST PD Bev Rainey is now seeking a full-time on-air personality for a daypart TBD. Interested candidates are invited to apply online via the majestic Cumulus Careers portal.
