Haskell Named VP/Ops For Max Media Norfolk

• Veteran programmer Eddie Haskell has been named VP of Operations & Programming of Max Media’s Norfolk-Virginia Beach group and Brand Manager/afternoon drive personality for Country WGH-FM (97.3 The Eagle), effective April 1. He succeeds Rusty James, who exits.

“I knew Eddie was the right person for the job when I met him,” said Keith Barton, VP/GM of Max Media Hampton Roads. “He’s full of passion for radio and knows how to motivate and inspire his team. We’re excited to have him join the Max Media team.”

Haskell was most recently SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Ft. Collins, CO group until January. Before that he programmed Bonneville Country KYGO/Denver and spent nine years as OM of the Cumulus cluster in Albuquerque, NM and PD/afternoon personality on Country KRST. Haskell’s earlier programming stops include KKAT/Salt Lake City, KDJM/Denver, WYCD/Detroit and WXLK/Roanoke.

Commenting on his return to the Eastern time zone, Haskell said, “I’m so excited to join the team at Max Media. The culture that GM Keith Barton has fostered feels like a perfect fit. I can’t wait to get in the building and start working with these great brands. Plus, it’s a great time to be moving to the beach… just in time for summer.”
