Hatfield: The Real Michigan McCoy
• Brian Hatfield has returned to his home state of Michigan as the newly named Operations Manager of MacDonald Broadcasting’s Saginaw group. He has assumed day-to-day PD duties for Country WKCQ (98 KCQ), and will have operational oversight of Adult Hits WMJO (97.3 Joe FM) and AC simulcast WSAG/WSAM (104FM/1400AM The Bay).
Hatfield (pictured) is a 25-year radio pro who got his first big break doing overnights on Country mainstay WYCD/Detroit. His extensive Country-centric radio resume also includes three years as APD/MD/afternoons at KYGO/Denver, along with stops KCYY/San Antonio, KKAT/Salt Lake City, WTQR/Greensboro, WSOC and WKKT/Charlotte and nine years with WKSF/Asheville, NC.
As the press release states, “One of the missing elements for MacDonald Broadcasting is a well-defined Digital Social Media Strategy.
