Hawke Now Running Mid-West Family Madison
• Mid-West Family Marketing Madison, WI is excited to announce the promotion of 22-year company veteran Randy Hawke from VP of Programming to Market Manager. He succeeds Tom Walker, who remains President of the company.
As the release states, “In this role, Randy will be responsible for ensuring the best media products are serving the community, and the marketing team is building strong strategic marketing plans for local businesses. His leadership extends beyond day-to-day operations, as he has served on the board of directors for an impressive 19 years, playing a key role in the company’s continued growth.” We are told that the cluster’s content department will run the same for now.
Hawke is probably best known as the longtime PD of Active Rock WJJO, now under the command of afternoon personality Ski. Hawke got his start at WRKT (Rocket 101)/Erie, PA in 1990. From there he programmed WAPL/Appleton-Oshkosh from 1995 to 1999 and WLUM/Milwaukee from 1999 to 2002.
As we reported in May, after nearly three decades as Programming & Content Director for the syndicated HardDrive Radio, Hawke and the show’s longtime host, Lou Brutus acquired the iconic brand from United Stations Media Networks/Gemini XIII via their newly launched company, BruteHawke Industries.
As the release concludes, “With a deep passion for engaging the community through diverse media platforms, Randy is poised to lead Mid-West Family Madison into its next chapter of success.” Hawke can be congratulated at Randy.Hawke@wjjo.com.
• In addition to WJJO, Mid-West Family Marketing Madison operates AC WMGM (Magic 98), Country WWQM (Q106), Sports-Talk WOZN (The Zone), Rhythmic WJQM (93.1 Jamz), Alternative WRIS (106.7 The Resistance), Classic Country/Ag WHIT (97.7 The Farm), and WLMV (La Movida 94.5 & 1480), Wisconsin’s first locally-programmed all-Spanish-speaking radio station, as well as statewide networks The Wisco Sports Zone and the Mid-West Farm Report.
