HITS 97.3/Miami Wakes Up With Jade Alexander
• Cox Media Group Miami introduces market veteran Jade Alexander as the new morning host for Rhythmic Hot AC WFLC (HITS 97.3), “The Rhythm of Miami,” replacing Kelbin Ramirez.
Alexander is a 30-year local media pro who most recently did middays at Audacy Classic Hits WMXJ (102.7 The Beach) until 2019. She earlier worked at iHeartMedia’s WHYI (Y-100) and also has a lengthy history as a local television entertainment reporter and news anchor. “Jade Alexander is a Miami Media Icon, and I’m so excited to welcome her back to the airwaves to entertain the community she loves,” said Ian Richards, Director of Branding and Programming or HITS 97.3.
Alexander said, “I’ve not only grown up in South Florida, I’ve grown up with the extraordinarily supportive, fiercely loyal, ‘sit down and have a Cafecito with me even though we just met’ community that it is. Being able to continue to share our lives together, from the very building that I cracked open the mic for the first time in my career, is a mind-blowing gift. This Miami girl is beyond excited to be a part of ‘The Rhythm of Miami’ on HITS 97.3 and to work with a team that embraces the vibrancy of our city that spills over into three area codes. Grateful to God, CMG Miami, and the generosity of the listeners… the most valuable element of a radio station.”
