Houston Renamed PD of Boston’s Bull

RAMP has confirmed that iHeartMedia has re-awarded Lance Houston his former PD stripes at Country WBWL (101.7 The Bull)/Boston. We understand Houston will do the job remotely from Atlanta, where he currently does afternoons on WUBL (94.9 The Bull) and works with the company’s National Programming Group.

Houston was the inaugural PD of Boston’s Bull shortly after it launched in 2014. He also programmed sister WTBU (95.3 The Bull)/Portsmouth, NH and served as Country Format Captain for the Boston Region until April 2018, when he earned the transfer to the PD post at then Country cousin WEBG (Big 95.5)/Chicago. That gig lasted until September 2020, when the station flipped to WCHI (Rock 95.5). Houston relocated to Atlanta last December.

Houston began his Country radio career at Clear Channel’s WTXT/Tuscaloosa, AL in 1995. His earlier PD stops include WBAM/Montgomery, AL, WYGC/Gainesville, FL and WPOC/Baltimore and he previously spent six years as APD/afternoon personality during his first stint at WUBL/Atlanta.
