Howard Takes Over South Beach
• SiriusXM announced that the legendary Howard Stern will bring his show to Miami next week to officially open the company’s newest state-of-the-art broadcast complex that will operate from the heart of South Beach.
Howard’s three-day series of special shows — May 1 through May 3 — will be his first-ever broadcasts from Miami and will kick off a huge week of special programming live from SiriusXM’s new Miami facility, which features a 50-seat performance space and several artist-first radio and recording studios, in addition to office space, and is located at 2340 Collins Avenue, in Starwood Capital’s newly opened Miami Beach headquarters.
The Howard Stern Show will air live from the SiriusXM Miami studios from Monday, May 1 through Wednesday, May 3, and Howard will be joined live in the studio by special music and celebrity guests. SiriusXM Miami’s opening week will also feature a busy schedule of special broadcasts and performances across several channels, including the launch of a brand-new Latin Pop channel, Hits Uno, all originating from the South Beach complex.
“Miami is an incredibly rich center for music and entertainment,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. “SiriusXM Miami will capture the city’s unique culture and character and bring it to audiences across North America, as we’ve proudly done from our existing studios in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville and Washington, DC. We’re thrilled to have Howard kick things off in the biggest way with three exceptional days of shows, followed by a star-studded lineup of programming that showcases the broad array of content we offer, including the diverse and vibrant music emanating from the Latinx community. This is a fitting debut for what’s to come from Miami, and we’re very excited to get started.”
