Hurley To Run WFAN, Infinity Sports Network
• Audacy welcomes Ryan Hurley as the new Brand Manager of WFAN/New York and the Infinity (formerly CBS) Sports Network. He will succeed Spike Eskin, who is departing for sister SportsRadio 94WIP/Philadelphia, as the lead content executive for both brands.
Hurley is already well versed in the New York — and national — sports scene, having spent the last two decades at ESPN New York, starting as an intern in 2004 after graduating from Hofstra University, rising through the ranks to Executive Producer, and eventually, Program Director in 2017.
“Ryan knows radio, sports and New York, making him a triple threat to take the reins of WFAN, which continues to be the city’s most influential and dominant sports platform,” said Chris Oliviero, Market President, Audacy New York. “In addition, with Infinity Sports Network, Ryan will have a major impact on the sports conversation nationwide. All of us at Audacy are excited to welcome him to the team.”
Hurley commented, “I’m excited and grateful to have the opportunity to join this legendary station. The term ‘dream job’ can get thrown around a lot, but as someone who grew up listening to The Fan religiously, that is exactly what this is. There is an incredible team here led by Chris Oliviero, and I look forward to this journey ahead with them.”
It was concurrently announced that David Mayurnik has been named Assistant Brand Manager of WFAN and Infinity Sports Network and will report to Hurley. Mayurnik joined CBS Sports Radio at its inception in 2013 as Executive Producer. Before that he was a producer for the Yankees Radio Network as well as Newsroom Operations Manager for WCBS 880 from 2005 to 2012. Mayurnik began his radio career at WFAN in 2000.
