Hutton Named MD of WYCD/Detroit
Congrats to Holly Hutton, afternoon drive co-host on CBS Radio Country WYCD/Detroit, who has been awarded bonus MD stripes. Ms. Hutton is a 20-year Motor City radio vet who spent a decade in middays on crosstown CIMX (89X) before becoming afternoon drive host on WGPR (The Bone), as well as PD of WGPR HD3 and The Oasis HD2. She joined CBS Radio Detroit in 2012 as afternoon co-host on Classic Hits WOMC. In August 2016, Hutton succeeded the late Linda Lee in afternoon drive as co-host with Rob Stone.
In making the announcement of Hutton’s promotion, Tim Roberts, VP of Country Programming, CBS Radio Detroit said, “Holly’s in-depth experience dealing with the music industry, as well as her understanding of programming has been evident from the beginning. She lives, eats and breathes the Country lifestyle. Holly will be a great asset to the music and programming efforts of WYCD.”
Hutton commented, “I’m thrilled to broaden my responsibilities and continue to work alongside Tim Roberts, Rob Stone and the WYCD family. It’s an honor to be a part of a station with such an incredible, longstanding reputation in country music.”
