iHeart Denver Turns To Turnbeaugh
iHeartMedia has named JoJo Turnbeaugh as Regional Senior Vice President of Programming for Denver, overseeing stations in Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins and Pueblo, CO as well as Ogallala, NE and Cheyenne, WY. “As a Denver native, JoJo has a great understanding of the legendary brands that encompass the Denver region and our greatest asset: the people who operate them,” said Tim Hager, President of iHeartMedia’s Denver Region. “A job of this scope comes with great responsibility and I know JoJo is the leader we need for this vital role.”
For the past nine months Turnbeaugh (left) has served as Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Nevada/Central California Region, which encompasses Las Vegas, Sacramento, Fresno, Bakersfield, Modesto and Monterey. Before that he was SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Las Vegas and PD of KWNR (95.5 The Bull). Before landing in Las Vegas in October of 2012, Turnbeaugh programmed KCCY (Y96.9)/Colorado Springs, was APD of KKFN/Denver, did mornings at KYGO/Denver and afternoons on KALC (Alice 105.9)/Denver. He also did nights at WLS-FM/Chicago back in the day.
Turnbeaugh said, “I’m thrilled to return home and work with iHeartMedia’s iconic brands in Denver. I’m very excited to work with the great team of leaders already in the region and give back to the listeners and community of my hometown.” In Denver, Turnbeaugh succeeds Jim Lawson, who exited last week. iHeartMedia has already begun a search for its next Regional SVP of Programming for the Nevada/Central California Region.
