iHeart Teams Up With Global Gaming League

• iHeartMedia recently announced a new production, marketing and distribution deal with the Global Gaming League (GGL), marking a major cultural moment for the competitive video gaming space.

Through this partnership with one of the fastest-growing platforms at the intersection of gaming, music, fashion, celebrity and culture, iHeart will become GGL’s audio partner, co-creating original podcasts that will deliver weekly gaming and culture programming across iHeart’s multiplatform network. All initiatives will also be elevated through GGL’s unique partnerships with its celebrity team owners, all true gamers with tremendous influence.

To dig a bit deeper, RAMP caught up with Clinton Sparks (left), Founder & CEO of Global Gaming League, and Nick Ditri (right) GCL VP of Business Development & Music. “For over 25 years, I’ve been bringing people together through music and radio,” said Sparks, who started his career at iHeartMedia. “It’s honestly at the core of who I am — creating moments where different people, perspectives, and communities can connect around something they care about. Music has always shown me how powerful that can be. It crosses every boundary, from race, religion, gender, region, and unites people through shared passion. Gaming has that same power, and I believe the two worlds run parallel. The bridge between them just hadn’t really been built in a meaningful, lasting way.”

“Partnering with iHeartRadio in this way truly feels like a homecoming for us,” Ditri tells RAMP. “Working alongside Clinton to help bring his vision to life with iHeart has been incredibly meaningful. As artists coming up, we saw firsthand the power of radio — its reach, its influence, and its ability to shape the world in a positive way. From the programmers to the executives at iHeart, there’s a real understanding that music and gaming naturally live together. By joining forces, we’re excited to bring that connection to the forefront and share it with audiences everywhere.”

Sparks added, “The Global Gaming League came from that desire to create a massive and welcoming space where people from all walks of life can come together the same way music has always brought people together — united by passion, community, with the opportunity to better their lives, and be part of something where they feel like they belong.”

“This collaboration shows iHeart’s commitment to authentically elevating gaming culture,” said Michael Biondo, President of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships for iHeartMedia. “Together, iHeart and GGL are creating a new blueprint for how gaming lives inside mainstream culture — bringing competitive gaming to listeners and new fans nationwide by introducing them directly into the Global Gaming League ecosystem.”
