J Love Named OM, KEZR & KBAY/San Jose
• RAMP has learned that veteran programmer J Love has been named Operations Manager for Alpha Media’s San Jose-San Francisco group, overseeing programming for Hot AC KEZR (Mix 106.5) and Bay Country simulcast — 94.5 KBAY/San Jose & 94.5 KKDV/Walnut Creek, CA, with a start date of August 1. The position has been vacant since Bo Matthews left a year ago.
Love most recently served as Brand Manager of Audacy Hot AC KMXB (Mix 94.1)/Las Vegas for the better part of a decade until early March, when Audacy underwent a large round of downsizing.
“This move is full circle for me,” said Love. “San Jose is where I started my radio career, so stepping into this role truly feels like coming home.” Indeed, Love got his radio feet wet in the South Bay at the late, legendary KQHT (Hot 97.7)/San Jose back in the day.
Love continued, “Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work in some incredible markets — Greenville, New Orleans, Detroit, Providence, Oxnard, San Francisco, Reno, and most recently Las Vegas at Mix 94.1 — but there’s nothing quite like coming back to the Bay.”

As we first reported in May, Alpha Media is currently in the process of being sold to Connoisseur Media.
