J-Que Sets Alarm For Zero Dark Thirty

• Urban One’s KBXX (97.9 The Box)/Houston proudly announces the return of DJ J-Que to morning drive. Beginning Monday, Jan. 26, J-Que will assume the lead chair on the award-winning Good Morning H-Town, alongside legendary co-host JMac and rising star Young Jas.

The move marks J-Que’s return to mornings for the first time since 2017, when he was part of The Madd Hatta Morning Show, prior to teaming up with Houston radio icon G-Man on The Afternoon Sauce.

“J-Que is a true team player who makes everyone around him better,” said Yonni Rude, PD of 97.9 The Box. “His off-the-cuff humor, combined with the personalities of JMac and Young Jas is like assembling The Avengers of morning radio — ready to save H-Town from the most stressful part of the day: the morning commute.”

In addition to his new role on Good Morning H-Town, J-Que will retain his existing programming duties as APD/MD as well as his signature daily mix shows, holiday mixes, and specialty programming, showcasing the award-winning DJ skills that have made him a dominant force in the club and live event scene, hosting for high-profile parties and celebrity events nationwide.
