Jaxon Takes The Reins Of Cat Country
• Congrats to Bo Jaxon on his swell upgrade from APD to Program Director of Cumulus Country KATC (Cat Country 95.1)/Colorado Springs, CO. He succeeds eight-year veteran Mike Dylan, who back in January announced he was taking a break from radio. Jaxon will continue to co-host the Cat Country Morning Show with Wendy LaBree.
In making the big announcement, OM Bobby Irwin said, “Bo brings a huge amount of enthusiasm, energy, and good ideas to our very competitive Country battle in Colorado Springs. In the short period of time we’ve worked together, I’ve watched him rebuild a morning show around pandemic circumstances and become an idea machine for the station and our advertising partners. VP/Market Manager Scott Jones and I are excited to turn him loose on the market.”
Jaxon joined Cumulus Colorado Springs in April 2020. Before that he was OM of SummitMedia’s Springfield, MO cluster and PD of Country KTTS. Previous programming stops include KSE Country KWOF and Hot AC KIMN/Denver, and Cumulus Hot AC KBBY (B95.1)/Oxnard-Ventura, CA. Jaxon notably spent 15 years with KLUC/Las Vegas and was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2018. Jaxon exclaimed, “The Cat is back with the HOTTEST Country in Colorado! I’m so excited to be a part of the Cumulus family. Thank you, Doug, Charlie, Scott, and Bobby… Let’s get the FUN started!”
