Jaybeau’s Back On WROR/Boston

• Almost exactly a year since he left, Jaybeau Jones has returned to his rightful place in afternoon drive on Beasley Classic Hits 105.7 WROR/Boston.

Jaybeau and WROR enjoy a successful 12-year history — he started doing part-time there in 2013, was upped to full-time two years later, and remained with the station until May 2024. “We are thrilled to have Jaybeau on WROR afternoons, where he belongs,” said Cadillac Jack, Director of Programming for Beasley Media Group Boston.

WROR APD Scott Morello added, “Jaybeau is one of those rare talents who truly connects with the audience. Having him back just feels right — for the station, and for our listeners.”

Reflecting on his welcome return, Jaybeau remarked, “Sometimes, you can come home. I’m very excited!”

Massachusetts native Jones has been on the air for all his adult life, and part of his childhood. His lengthy career has has taken him to New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Hartford and Worcester. He’s also a 2017 inductee into the Rhode Island Radio Hall of Fame for his 1979-84 stint (as “Johnny Dowd“) at the late, great JB105/Providence.

This marks Jaybeau’s third affiliate of Radio Resources’ “Personality On Demand” service — last summer he landed mornings on Binnie Media’s Classic Hits Frank FM network in New Hampshire — WFNQ/Manchester-Nashua, 98.3 WLNH/Concord-Lakes Region, & 98.7 WBYY/Portsmouth-Dover-Rochester NH — and in February of this year added 7-midnight on Cumulus Classic Hits 94.7 WLS/Chicago. As if he’s not busy enough, Jaybeau will also retain his other longtime gig with SiriusXM’s 70s on 7.
