‘JDub’ Named PD of WWST & WKHT/Knoxville
• SummitMedia has tapped Joe “JDub” Dobbins as the new Program Director for Top 40 WWST (Star 102.1) and Rhythmic WKHT (Hot 104.5)/Knoxville, TN.
Dobbins, who will also do afternoons on Star 102.1, joins SummitMedia after four years with Alpha Media, most recently as PD of KFRX/Lincoln, NE. Dobbins notably spent 15 years with Cumulus Top 40 WHOT (Hot 101)/Youngstown in his home state of Ohio, rising to PD/afternoons. In Sept. 2019 he was hired by Alpha Media as Content Director and afternoon drive personality for WDJX/Louisville. A year later he was furloughed from that gig due to the pandemic and subsequently hired to program sister KFRX.
