Jeff Evans Named PD of WayFM

• Houston-based Contemporary Christian broadcasters Hope Media Group (HMG) announced Jeff Evans as the new Program Director of WayFM. He succeeds Steve Shore, who left in March after 20 years and joined EMF as Music Platforms Program Manager.

Evans, who starts by the end of July, spent the past decade as Programming Operations Director for Pillar Media’s WAKW (Star 93.3) Cincinnati & WAWZ (Star 99.1)/New York. He earlier served as Operations Manager for Townsquare Media’s four-station group in Tyler, TX and was an on-air talent at iHeartMedia Hot AC KDMX (the former Mix 102.9)/Dallas.

Scott Herrold, Chief of Programming for Hope Media Group, remarked, “Jeff has a real heart for team building. He’s a seasoned program director in both mainstream and Christian radio. I know his shepherding gifts are going to play a significant role in WayFM’s next phase of growth.”
