Jim Clerkin: Free Agent

RAMP has learned of another casualty of the recent budget cuts at Beasley Boston — Jim Clerkin, MD and morning show producer on WKLB (Country 102.5) has exited following the departure of the show had been producing — Jonathan Wier and Ayla Brown left last week and have been replaced by The Andie Summers Show, which originates from sister WXTU/Philadelphia and has also been syndicated to KCYE/Las Vegas.

Clerkin joined WKLB as morning show producer in June 2019, and added MD stripes in Sept. 2020. Before that he was Executive Producer of the Boston.com Morning Show on Audacy Talk WRKO. Clerkin notably spent 16 years with iHeartMedia Boston, eight of those as APD/MD of WXKS (Kiss 108). He also produced Matty Siegel‘s morning show on Kiss and was MD of former EDM outlet Evolution 101.7. Clerkin also briefly ventured outside his native New England to program SummitMedia Hot AC WPYA (97.3 Play)/Birmingham, AL until November 2016.
