Johnnie D Exits iHeart Chicago

• iHeartMedia Chicago is reportedly undergoing some budgetary cuts — one of those adversely affected is Johnnie D, PD of Urban 107.5 WGCI, who exits after nearly eight years as his position is eliminated.

Johnnie D joined iHeartMedia Chicago on June 1, 2015 as APD of WGCI and Urban AC WVAZ (V103), returning home to Chicago after a stint as MD and Executive Producer of The Ryan Cameron Morning Show with Wanda Smith at CBS Radio Urban WVEE (V-103)/Atlanta. He was elevated to PD of WGCI in early 2017. Johnnie D’s extensive resume also includes various programming positions at WPGC/Washington, Hot 97/New York, WPWX (Power 92.3)/Chicago and WPHI (100.3 The Beat)/Philadelphia.
