Kage Doubles Down With The Bull
• iHeartMedia just announced that John E. Kage has been handed the PD keys to Country KWBL (106.7 The Bull)/Denver. He will retain his existing gig as PD of Top 40 sibling KPTT (95.7 The Party).
Kage reports to JoJo Turnbeaugh, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Denver Region, who remarked, “Kage has mastered the art and science of programming contemporary formats. There’s no question that 106.7 The Bull and 95.7 The Party will grow and continue to thrive under John’s leadership.”
Kage is a longtime Denver radio pro who joined iHeartMedia as PD of 95.7 The Party in January of this year. He notably spent seven years as PD and Digital Content Director for Entercom Top 40 KQKS (KS107.5)/Denver and 2 1/2 years as PD of Bonneville Country KYGO/Denver. In between he served as Director of Branding & Programming for Cox Media Group Top 40 WPOI (Hot 101.5)/Tampa. Kage started his radio career at KDWB/Minneapolis.
“I’m beyond thrilled to make my return to Country music on 106.7 The Bull,” said Kage. “Country music has a special community with a unique bond between radio, the artists and the listeners. I missed it dearly and I’m very grateful for being able to be a part of it again. A special thanks to iHeartMedia for giving me the opportunity and I look forward to working alongside the talented team here at 106.7 The Bull and contributing to the station’s ongoing success.”
