Karla Cantrell Circles Back To KWEN

• It’s a welcome radio homecoming for Karla Cantrell, former PD of CMG Country KWEN (K95.5)/Tulsa, who returns after nine years away, this time as APD/afternoon talent. She succeeds Jenny Law, who in February relocated to CMG San Antonio, where she does middays on Classic Hits KONO and nights on Country sister KCYY (Y100). Law will continue to lend her talents to K95.5 remotely for weekends and fill-in.

“It is with great excitement that we welcome Karla back to the CMG family,” said Mark Shecterle, VP/GM of CMG Tulsa. “She brings a wealth of radio knowledge and the love of the Tulsa community.”

Cantrell earlier spent nine years with K95.5, rising to PD before leaving in October 2013 to program Midwest Communications Country KVOX/Fargo, ND. Cantrell returned to Tulsa in July 2016 as PD of iHeartMedia rival KTGX (106.1 The Twister), where she spent the next eight years before leaving in August 2024 — along with many fellow iHeart employees — during a major round of restructuring. Karla is now firmly back in the K95 saddle and can be congratulated at karla.cantrell@k95tulsa.com.

PS: KWEN continues to search for a morning show co-host. Please let Director of Branding & Programming Matt Bradley know of your serious interest level and apply online HERE. EOE
