Karolyi Drives Danbury Home On I95
• Nice to hear Mike Karolyi‘s voice back on Connecticut radio again, as he signs on to do afternoon drive on Townsquare Classic Rock WRKI (I95)/Danbury, CT, effective this week.
Karolyi, who will retain his existing role as Brand Manager of Townsquare Classic Rock simulcast WQBK/WQSH (Q105.7 & 103.5)/Albany, NY, shared his news on the I95 website, saying, in part, “I am very happy to announce that I am moving into the Home of Rock and Roll, I95 in Danbury. It’s an honor for me to share the studio with the legendary Ethan Carey, Lou Milano, Large Dave and the rest of the personalities that you listen to every day.”
Karolyi, who was born and raised in Winsted, CT, famously spent more than 25 years at the late, legendary Classic Rock WCCC/Hartford until August 2014, when the station was sold to EMF and signed off. After that, Karolyi ran the online rock station iRockRadio.com and joined Townsquare Albany in Oct. 2020.
