KDKA Elevates Kumanchik To Brand Manager
• Audacy has elevated PJ Kumanchik to Brand Manager of KDKA News Radio (KDKA-AM 1020/100.1)/Pittsburgh, overseeing the station’s content strategy, talent, operations, and branding.
Kumanchik, a 35-year company veteran who previously served as KDKA’s News Manager, succeeds Dave LaBrozzi, who recently announced his retirement.

It has been a privilege to work with him over the past two years,” said Michael Spacciapolli, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Pittsburgh. “We’re delighted to promote PJ, a mainstay at KDKA for the last 35 years. The trust he has built within our organization and with listeners and partners makes him a great fit to steward this iconic brand into the future as we grow on many levels.”
Kumanchik is a Pittsburgh native who has served in multiple capacities at both KDKA News Radio and KDKA-FM (93.7 The Fan) as News Producer & Editor, Morning Show Producer, Sports Producer and Program Director. He has been Executive Producer of Pitt Panther Football broadcasts on 93.7 The Fan for nine years and started his career as a part-time Producer of The Big K Morning Show in 1989.
“I look forward to working with our leadership team, including Michael, to boost the momentum we have created at KDKA News Radio in the past couple of years,” said Kumanchik. “As the ‘Voice of Pittsburgh,’ we will continue to provide news-driven talk that encourages interactions from our listeners.”
