KDMX/Dallas Reclaims ‘MIX’ Branding

• iHeartMedia Hot AC KDMX/Dallas has jettisoned its 10-year-old 102-9 NOW identifier and returned to the longtime “MIX 102.9” moniker it had used between 1991 and 2012.

Explaining the rebrand, PD Jay Shannon had a simple explanation, telling RAMP, “We just took the station back to how the market continues to refer to 102.9, and that’s ‘MIX!'”

Addressing rumblings of pending on-air talent changes, Shannon added, “Yes, there may be some talent additions I think the market will be excited about!” We are advised to stay tuned, and so are you.
