Ken Charles To Program CMG’s WSB/Atlanta
• News-Talk veteran Ken Charles has been named Director of Branding and Programming for Cox Media Group’s 95.5 WSB/Atlanta, effective September 12.
Charles spent the past seven years as Brand Manager of Audacy News-Talk KNX (News 97.1)/Los Angelesand corporate VP of News until early July. Before that he was VP of Programming for iHeartMedia Sacramento, PD of News-Talk KFBK and Talk KSTE and National Brand Manager for News-Talk. Charles earlier spent five years as Director of Programming for iHeartMedia’s WIOD and WINZ/Miami and Brand Coordinator for News-Talk, and RVP of Programming for Clear Channel Houston. The new gig also marks a long-awaited return to the ATL for Charles, who served as Director of Programming & News for WGST-AM from 1998-2001.

• Charles succeeds Drew Anderssen, who in April was named Brand Manager of Audacy’s Newsradio 1080 KRLD and the Texas State Networks (TSN) in Dallas-Fort Worth.
