Keyes On The Loose
• UPDATED: RAMP has confirmed that longtime Madison, WI radio fixture Fletcher Keyes has exited as PD of Mid-West Family Country WWQM (Today’s Q106) as his position is eliminated — another unfortunate COVID-19-related budget cut. Keyes had been programming Q106 for the past nine years and had also co-hosted the morning show across the hall on AC sister WMGN (Magic 98) since late 2018. We understand that Jackson and Steph will continue to host the Today’s Q106 morning show.
Keyes is one of the fortunate few who have spent their entire radio career in the same market — before joining Q106, Keyes spent 18 years over at Entercom Classic Hits WOLX until August 2010. In 1991, Keyes and fellow market vet Jonathan Little launched Triple A WMMM-FM (Triple M), and before that, Keyes was on the air at heritage Top 40 WZEE (Z104), owned back then by MidContinent Media.
As the future beckons, Keyes is more than ready for his next challenge and can be contacted at keyescreative@gmail.com or through his website, fletcherkeyes.com.
• For the foreseeable future, all Q106 inquiries should be directed to Mid-West Family VP of Programming Randy Hawke at Randy.Hawke@wjjo.com.
