KOOL 108 Dubs Mike As Morning Guy

• Wisely making use of valuable natural resources already in the building, iHeartMedia Classic Hits KQQL (KOOL 108)/Minneapolis formally taps Mike Dubs as the new host of KOOL 108’s Morning Drive to Work, weekdays from 6-9am. The move makes sense, as Dubs has been covering the shift since Jeff Olsen left last year.

Dubs makes his new morning commute to KOOL 108 from across the hall at Country cousin KEEY (K102), where he continues to do weekends and fill-in. “Dubs is a fantastic addition to KOOL 108,” said Gregg Swedberg, SVP Programming for iHeart Minneapolis. “He loves the music, and moreover, he loves the listeners. He’ll bring the very best in entertainment to the KOOL 108 listeners during morning drive.”

Prior to joining iHeartMedia, Dubs did nights across the street on Audacy Country KMNB (102.9 The Wolf). Dubs is a graduate of Purdue University-Calumet and began his career at Audacy Country WUSN (US99)/Chicago. “I love being a part of the iHeartMedia Minneapolis family,” Dubs said. “I’ve been on the K102 team for four years, and I’m excited to be in the driver’s seat for mornings on KOOL 108. I grew up listening to all of this music from the ’80s and ’90s, and love interacting with the KOOL 108 listeners. Bring on the Christmas music!”
