Korby Ray The Easy Choice
• After an ambitious planetwide search, Cox Media Group AC WFEZ (Easy 93.1)/Miami has secured its new Associate PD and midday host — say hello to Korby Ray, who relocates to sunny Miami after a lengthy run in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she most recently co-hosted mornings for DBC Classic Rock WYAV (Wave 104.1). Earlier market stops include middays at Alpha Media’s WMYB (formerly Star 92.1), middays and afternoons on Cumulus Country WLFF, and APD/mornings on iHeartMedia Country WGTR (Gator 107.9).
The news of Ray’s hire was initially broken via Facebook by CMG Miami Director Of Branding & Programming Phil Michaels-Trueba, who said, “I’d like to introduce you to our newest CMG Miami rock star! Please join me in welcoming the talented and amazing Korby Ray to our Easy 93.1 family as our Associate Program Director and midday talent! She makes her debut on the South Florida airwaves.”
Ms. Ray fills the midday shift that was formerly occupied by longtime WFEZ Director of Branding & Programming Gary Williams, who left in June.
