Kramer Named PM Co-Anchor, WTOP/DC
• Hubbard’s WTOP News/Washington has named Anne Kramer as the station’s new afternoon drive anchor alongside 25-year WTOP veteran Shawn Anderson, weekdays from 2-7pm ET.
Prior to joining WTOP a year and a half ago, Kramer spent 25 years at Hearst’s WBAL Radio/Baltimore as full-time anchor/reporter, including anchoring morning drive, winning multiple awards, including a National Edward R. Murrow Award. She has also served on the CAPBA Board of Directors.
“I’m excited to be a full-time member of this legendary news station,” said Kramer. “I’m looking forward to working alongside Shawn Anderson, with his years of experience, as we give listeners the most up-to-date and accurate information they need to make informed decisions as they go about their day.”
Julia Ziegler, WTOP’s Director of News & Programming, shared her thoughts on the newly-forged team of Kramer and Anderson, stating, “From the day Anne started at WTOP, I have loved her passion for storytelling. Anne puts our listeners first and is always thinking about how she can help them understand what is going on in their worlds. Our listeners are in great hands with Shawn and Anne each afternoon.”
