KSHE 95/St. Louis Welcomes Tim & Alice

• Hubbard’s heritage Classic Rock KSHE 95/St. Louis is excited to announce the return of prodigal son Tim Virgin to the Gateway City airwaves, assuming command of afternoon drive, starting Monday, March 31. He succeeds Guy “Favazz” Favazza, who exited in February after three decades of service.

Virgin, who most recently did afternoon drive at Cumulus Classic Hits 94.7 WLS-FM/Chicago, brings with him a wealth of major market experience, most importantly, a previous St. Louis stint doing nights on KSHE’s sister station, KPNT (105.7 The Point) dating back to 1996.

Virgin’s extensive resume also includes earlier Chicago stints at the late, legendary WLUP (97.9 The Loop), and WKQX (Q101) about 15 years ago, as well as former CBS Radio Top 40 KEGY (Energy 103.7)/San Diego, WNEW and the late WXRK (92.3 K-Rock)/New York, WHFS/Washington and KEDJ/Phoenix.

Marty Linck, Brand Director for KSHE & Adult Hits WARH (106.5 The Arch), said, “Tim Virgin is the perfect fit for KSHE 95. His energy is contagious, and he truly lives the rock-and-roll lifestyle. Plus, his familiarity with the St. Louis market means I don’t need to drive him all over town for a grand tour… which is nice.”

Virgin shared his excitement, commenting, “I’m beyond thrilled to be joining Hubbard Radio-St. Louis and the legendary KSHE 95. Huge thanks to [Market President] John Kijowski, [Operations Manager] Tommy Mattern, and Marty Linck for this incredible opportunity. KSHE is an institution in rock radio, and I can’t wait to be part of its amazing legacy. This is going to be an incredible adventure — I can’t wait to eat Imo’s pizza and play Ozzy again!”

And there’s more — In addition to Virgin’s return, KSHE 95 will also debut the Superadio-syndicated Alice’s Attic with Alice Cooper starting at 6pm on Monday, March 31.
