Larson Named PD of WRXK & WJPT/Ft. Myers
• Beasley Media Group just introduced John Larson as the new Program Director of Active Rock WRXK (96K-Rock) and AC WJPT (Sunny 106.3)/Ft. Myers, FL. He will also do mornings on Sunny 106.3, starting Sept. 8.
The good news is, Larson gets to keep his Florida driver’s license, as he spent the past 15 years with Cox Media Group Tampa as Director of Branding and Programming for WWRM, WXGL and WDUV, and he formerly served as Format Leader for CMG’s Classic Rock/Classic Hits stations. Before that he spent 15 years programming KDGE and KZPS/Dallas.
