Lee Lands In Wilmington

• As the sun rises over Sunrise Broadcasting Alternative WRMR (Modern Rock 98.7)/Wilmington, NC, we are pleased to welcome the station’s new PD — say hello to Laura Lee, who will also drive you home every afternoon. Ms. Lee most recently worked for Adams Radio Group in Salisbury-Ocean City, MD as Promotions Director for the company’s four-cluster and was PD/midday personality for Classic Rock WGBG (Big 98.5).

Lee (left) began her radio career in 2000 with Entercom Sacramento. She later went on to program LM Communications’ Triple A WCOO (105.5 The Bridge)/Charleston, SC and also served as Manager of Corporate Partnerships with the Charleston-based South Carolina Stingrays minor league hockey team before joining Adams Radio. Commenting on her new gig, Lee said, “Whenever I’ve mentioned Wilmington, people just go on about what a phenomenal city it is. Plus, I’ve seen how amazingly Capitol Broadcasting treats their employees — and I get to live on the beach… It’s a ‘pinch-me, I’m-dreaming’ triple threat!”

Ms. Lee succeeds Paul Cannell, who left in mid-August to program Cumulus Media’s WZRH (ALT 92.3) and WRKN (NASH FM 106.1)/New Orleans.
