Lenane Upped To VP/Programming Ops At EMF
• Educational Media Foundation (EMF), the parent company of the K-LOVE and AIR1 Networks has promoted 25-year company veteran Ed Lenane to VP of Programming Operations. Lenane, who has presided over the company’s programming operations team since 2017, will now oversee the company’s news, regional public affairs, audio production, board ops and traffic teams.
Lenane’s radio career started in 1979 and has progressed to include operations, programming, and on-air roles in music and news formats in top markets, including New York and Atlanta. Lenane joined EMF in 1997 as local program manager and helped oversee the Northern California-based air staff. He then went on to launch the news department, serving as Director of News Operations and delivering news on-air during morning drive. In 2010, Lenane relocated from the company’s Rocklin, CA HQ to Indianapolis to run operations and assist with programming. He was subsequently named National Promotions Director, leading promotions teams in multiple states before returning to Rocklin in 2017 to direct programming operations.
“Ed’s broadcast and programming knowledge are critical to our success, and his kindness, deep faith, dependability and humility make him a pleasure to work alongside,” said Mandy Young, EMF Radio Group Program Director.
Lenane and Young will both continue to report to EMF Chief Content Officer Jim Houser, who said, “Ed was one of the early pioneers that launched the format of Christian hit music on radio. We’re fortunate to learn from his extensive experience in the industry.”
