Leyland Elevated To PD, WJYY/Concord, NH
• There has been a change of command at Binnie Media Top 40 105.5 WJYY/Concord, NH, starting with the news that current PD Harrison Hinman (left) is returning to his musical roots as he has resigned from his full-time role to accept the position of Production Manager at the Bank of NH Stage in Concord. He will be succeeded from within the WJYY family, as Marissa Leyland (right) has been elevated to Program Director.
The news was shared with the staff in a memo from Heath Cole, EVP of Programming & Operations, who said of Hinman, “For those of you who know him, this aligns perfectly with his passion for music and his band. We are thrilled for him as he embarks on this next step in his career and are honored that he will remain part of our radio family.” Hinman will remain on-air with Country siblings WNHW (93.3 The Wolf)/Concord and WXLF (95.3 & 107.1 The Wolf)/Lebanon/Hanover, NH, as well as contributing through remotes and voice-over production.
Speaking to Leyland’s qualifications, Cole noted, “Over her seven years with Binnie Media, Marissa has grown tremendously. Starting as a part-time promotions assistant working alongside DK on events, online, and social media, she quickly proved herself and earned her first show on WJYY. After her return from college, Marissa stepped into a full-time role as Programming and Promotions Cordinator, morning co-host on the Frank FM NH network, and midday host on ‘JYY. Her talent, dedication, and passion have made her an outstanding ambassador for our brands.”
