Lotus Buying Into San Diego

• RAMP has confirmed that a contract has been signed and an application is being filed with the FCC for the transfer of KFBG-FM/San Diego, CA from Local Media San Diego to Lotus Communications Corp.

The Seller, Local Media San Diego (LMSD), is a California-based company headed by Gregg Wolfson and Norm McKee. LMSD also owns three additional radio stations in San Diego.

The Buyer, Lotus Communications Corp., is a California-based company headed by Howard Kalmenson, President & CEO, and Jim Kalmenson, First Senior Vice President. Lotus also owns 46 radio stations across Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, and Washington.

KFBG, currently Adult Hits, operates at 100.7 MHz, with 26 kW at 686’ HAAT. KALIL & CO., INC. is the exclusive broker for this transaction.
