Lu On The Loose

• RAMP has learned that our longtime friend Lu Valentino, who has served as Regional Marketing Director for Results Radio’s 12-station group in Chico, Redding, and Yuba City-Marysville, CA, is now a free agent, as she was informed on July 10 that her position was being eliminated, effective July 24.

Valentino had accepted the position last September, relocating from Los Angeles, where she worked as a national personality for Local Radio Networks (LRN). Her impressive resume also includes a 7 1/2-year run as a syndicated personality with Westwood One. Her impressive resume includes a lengthy run in Phoenix, where she served as APD/MD/afternoons at KOAI; on-air/Production Director at 98 KUPD, and mornings on iHeartMedia’s KMXP (Mix 96.9) and KZZP. She earlier did mornings on WMJQ/Buffalo, NY, and was Marketing Director at WYUU/Tampa. Her LinkedIn profile has more details.

“I depart with my head held high and a smile,” Valentino tells RAMP. “Leaving a job, under any circumstances, in the same manner you arrived on the first day is paramount. This will be achievable, given the high esteem in which I hold [Results Radio Pres./CEO] Jack Fritz.”
