Major Audacy Opportunity: RVP, ALT Format
• Audacy just posted a key opening for a “Regional VP of Programming/Brand Manager — ALT Format,” as RAMP has learned that Leslie Scott, who currently holds that position, who will be transitioning into the newly created position of VP of Audacy Exclusive Stations after Labor Day. Scott (pictured) currently oversees KNDD (107.7 The End)/Seattle, KROQ/Los Angeles, KITS (ALT 105.3)/San Francisco, 94/7 KNRK/Portland and KKDO (ALT 94.7)/Sacramento.
As the posting reads, “Audacy is looking for an Regional VP/Brand Manager to help lead company’s Alternative format, with primary responsibility over the West Coast Markets, including Seattle and Portland. You will provide artistic, creative, inspirational and professional leadership for the format as well as local oversight and communication.”
• In late June Audacy announced the launch of several hundred new exclusive digital music stations, available through the Audacy app, “that will build upon existing format offerings and bring new variety to its digital platform,” so said the release, adding, “The exclusive station collection is designed for fans by fans and will range widely across various music genres, moods and activities, enabling users to discover new music driven by their interests, favorite artists and upcoming events. The initial launch group of over 350 new stations are expertly curated by iconic Audacy brands, on-air personalities and influencers from across Audacy’s nationwide portfolio.”
Leslie Scott has been with Entercom/Audacy Seattle since 2011, when she was named APD of former Triple A sister KMTT. In Dec. 2013 she was named Digital PD of the cluster and in August 2015 was named Brand Manager of The End. Her previous programming stops include KBXR & KBBM/Columbia, MO; she also served as APD/MD at WFXH/Savannah, GA and WMAD/Madison.
