Manuel Labor Pays Dividends

• Finally…. the press release has been… um… released, thus, making this news official — iHeartMedia Quad Cities IL-IA is pleased to announce that Mark Manuel has formally been promoted to Program Director of Classic Rock KCQQ (Q106.5) and Top 40 KUUL (101.3 Kiss FM).

Manuel, who has been in the building off and on since 1992, was most recently APD/afternoon personality for Q106.5 and webmaster for the cluster. In his newly enhanced role, Manuel will continue to responsible for developing content for the websites of all seven stations in the group and drive you home on Q106.5. He reports to Jim O’Hara, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Quad Cities, who said, “I’m really happy this promotion is happening for Mark and for our stations. As program director of 101.3 Kiss FM and Q106.5, he brings a wealth of experience and skills to our programming team.”

Manuel began his radio career at Iowa State University’s KUSR-FM and is a graduate of Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. “I’m really grateful for the opportunity,” said Manuel. “After chasing a morning host dream for two decades, I found that I really enjoyed the programming aspect of radio for the past five years. I especially want to thank iHeartMedia for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I’m happy to continue to be part of the team for years to come.”
