Marshall Ready To Rock I-95/Savannah
• Cumulus Savannah has appointed Marci Stanley-Boger as the new PD of Classic Rock WIXV (I-95). Ms. Stanley-Boger, better known as Billie Marshall, crosses the street after 14 years as host of The Bad Ass Rock Show in afternoon drive on Dick Broadcasting Active Rock WFXH (Rock 106.1). And yes, she will be bringing her Bad Ass Rock Show with her over to I-95.
“I’m very excited to have a person with Marci’s credentials join the Cumulus Savannah family,” said Eric Mastel, Cumulus RVP/Market Manager. “She’s a proven winner with a wealth of experience in the Rock format. Marci, a.k.a. ‘Billie Marshall’ on-air, personifies the very essence of today’s Rock fans. I’m looking forward to working with Marci as she and the team propel WIXV to new heights.”
Stanley-Boger/Marshall enjoys a lengthy history in the Savannah-Hilton Head, SC region — while hosting the Bad Ass Rock Show on Rock 106.1 she also did middays on Classic Hits WRWN (Rewind 107.9). She was also PD/morning co-host at Country WUBB-FM. Out-of-state stops include MD/middays on WRLF (Rock 106.1)/Morgantown WV and PD/MD/afternoons for WHBR-FM & WRZZ-FM/Parkersburg, WV. Stanley-Boger also served as Rock Format Content Specialist for Futuri Media/Prep+ and is a well-known voiceover artist.
Marshall commented, “I’ve been fortunate enough to play rock and roll for over 25 years and am excited to join WIXV, which has a reverence for Rock music, its culture and the Low Country and Coastal Empire. Thanks to Gerry McCracken, Wade Linder and Eric Mastel for this exciting opportunity. I look forward to hosting The Bad Ass Rock Show for another 13 years or more on ‘The Rock of Savannah!'”
• Marshall succeeds Don Scott, a fixture at the station since 1985, who died last October from COVID-19 at the age of 65.
