Marty Bender: Worst Consultant Ever
• Veteran programmer Marty Bender announces the launch of his new company, sporting the best name ever — “Worst Consultant Ever.” No, seriously.
To make this dream a reality, Bender (left) will be stepping away from his position as Program Director of Cumulus Classic Rock WOFX (92.5 The Fox)/Cincinnati, effective at the end of his five-year contract on September 30. Bender stated, “Cumulus in Cincinnati is one of the best clusters in radio and I encourage any passionate Classic Rock programmer to apply.”
Since he was 18 years old, Marty Bender has never not been in the music/media business. From a stint as the Rock buyer at Tower Sunset to early stints at KNAC/Long Beach and KROQ/Los Angeles, Bender’s radio resume also includes WRIF/Detroit, WSHE/Chicago and VP of Programming for Premiere Radio Networks. Bender notably spent more than two decades in Indianapolis over two tours of duty as Operations Manager of WFBQ, WRZX & WNDE and Executive Producer of the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Show, and earlier in his career served as MD/morning jock at pioneering Classic Rock WWWM (M105)/Cleveland, and spent some quality time at WSKS (96 Rock)/Cincinnati back in the day.
Looking ahead, Bender can be contacted at martybender2010@gmail.com, via LinkedIn and you can find him on the Twitter machine at @consultantworst and @martybender1.
