Matthews To Boise, Froggy Needs APD/MD

• Kyle Matthews has tendered his resignation as APD/MD/midday talent at NRG Media Country KFGE (Froggy 98)/Lincoln, NE, and RAMP has confirmed that he’s packing for a move to scenic Boise, ID as the new Brand Manager of Townsquare Media’s KAWO.

Matthews (left) had been with KFGE – this time — since Jan. 2019. He had earlier spent two years in middays on Froggy 98, with a year in middays on Audacy Country KFRG/Riverside sandwiched in between.

With Matthews’ impending departure fast approaching, OM/PD Steve King has fired up the proverbial employment flare to find a qualified APD/PD for KFGE. The right person needs to have a passion for Country music, is able to work with a VERY high profile morning show (Gary & Johanna) and understand how to integrate online and social media into a radio station. This isn’t a job for a beginner, as we make big market radio — this is a job for someone who wants to be a PD or work their way into the PD role, as APD.
