Maxwell Changes The Station To WKTU

• iHeartMedia’s WKTU/New York announced the addition of market veteran Maxwell to afternoon drive. The Maxwell Show will roll live weekdays from 3-7pm ET, starting Thursday, Nov. 14, filling the sizeable void created by Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton‘s September move up to mornings.

The cool part is, no moving expenses will be incurred, as Maxwell has spent the past decade right across the hall on sister Z100, where he currently co-hosts the afternoon show with Crystal Rosas.

“We are so excited to welcome Maxwell to the KTU family,” said Chris Conley, Program Director of 103.5 KTU. “Maxwell’s charisma, humor, and ability to connect with his audience make him the perfect addition to our lineup. We’re confident that listeners will love what he brings to the table in the afternoon time slot.”

Maxwell is a seasoned radio pro with over two decades of experience — he previously served as APD/MD/afternoon talent at sister WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia before earning the transfer to Z100 as Asst. MD/late nights in Jan. 2014. Maxwell earlier did nights (and still does weekends) at WNCI/Columbus, and his resume also includes stops at KSMB/Lafayette, LA, WEZB (B97)/New Orleans and KSLY & KWWV/San Luis Obispo, CA. Maxwell is also a prominent member of the iHeartRadio team as a national custom on-air talent and Digital Content Host.

“I’m truly blessed to take this next step in my career, and honored to join another iconic New York station, KTU,” said Maxwell. “Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this amazing journey. I’m excited to continue bringing my unique energy and passion for entertaining to the greatest city in the world!”
