Maxx Effort At WXTU/Philly
• Beasley Country WXTU/Philadelphia has promoted Charlie Maxx from nights to APD/Production Director and moved her up to noon-3pm. “Charlie has a depth of experience that will be so helpful in her expanded role her at 92.5XTU,” said PD Mark Razz, who assumes the 10am-noon shift. “I look forward to putting our heads together to move the station forward.”
As was previously reported, all Beasley Country stations started airing United Stations’ Backstage Country weeknights from 7-midnight, effective this week. It was also announced that Jennifer “JJ” Scordo will continue to work in the production department, and do weekends/swing, while market vet Laura Boss (ex-WOGL, WTDY) joins for part-time.
Ms. Maxx joined WXTU for weekends in Feb. 2019 and was upped to nights a year ago. No stranger to the Beasley family, Maxx was previously PD and morning host on AC WJBR/Wilmington, DE. She is also an experienced market veteran, having plugged in at Philly stations past and present, like Mix 95.7, 96.5 The Point, Alice 104.5 and WBEB (B101). Maxx began her radio career at the Jersey shore working at WAYV and WJRZ. She has also worked in Washington and Baltimore, and did a stint as the AC Editor at FMQB. Charlie can be congratulated at Charlie@925XTU.com.
