Mays Named OM, Connoisseur Suburban Chicago

• Connoisseur Media proudly announces the addition of Gordon Mays as Operations Manager of its recently acquired suburban Chicago cluster — Hot AC duo WZSR (Star 105.5)/Woodstock, IL and WSSR (Star 96.7)/Joliet, Classic Alt WERV (95.9 The River)/Aurora, Free Country signals 102.3 WXLC/Waukegan and 98.3 WCCQ/Joliet, Active Rock WIIL/Kenosha, WI and WRXQ (Q Rock)/Coal City, IL, and AMs WJOL, WLIP and WKRS.

Mays, an Illinois native, most recently served in a similar role with the now defunct Milwaukee Radio Alliance. Before that he was Brand Manager of Mid-West Family Country WRTB/Rockford, IL, and Director of Programming & Content for the company’s six-station group in Rockford and DeKalb, IL. Mays earlier spent a decade with then-CBS Radio Country WXTU/Philadelphia, and has also worked at the former WYSP/Philadelphia, WKQX & WLUP/Chicago and WJBR/Wilmington, DE.
